I decided to redesign this product because I have been a fan of The Cookie Place since they opened in August this year. While their current design is not bad I though it could be better. The intended target is college-age students, since most consumers are Brigham young University – Idaho Students.

 

WHY?

The cookie place current packages and delivers their cookies in white boxes with a sticker on it. While this might be the most practical way of doing it, a product needs a good design to be pleasing and attractive. The Cookie place is a small business ran by Rexburg locals but the branding is not interesting nor fun. The target audience is young adults ages 18-30 because Rexburg is a college town, the shop is located closest to the BYU-Idaho campus and student housing, which makes college students their primary market.

COLOR SCHEME

I decided to keep the original branding color, teal. I chose a bright yellow and grey as accent colors.

CONCLUSION

Good design is an essential part of the selling of a product and how the audience perceives it. I believe this new design will appeal more to the target audience and reach more people. The new design is simple and fresh, but still stylish and attractive. With Baked, the new cookie store in town, The Cookie Place has competition and this new image will definitely help with that.
