My Creative Resume Handout for Photography and Graphic Design
As you already know, my name is Karol Cordon and I am a graphic designer and photographer from Guatemala. Since I was young I have felt a strong interest towards art. As I grew up, I made the choice to attend Brigham Young University and get a degree in Visual Communications. I will be graduation in one week of my Bachelors Degree. The past two years I have had the experience to work as a graphic designer. I have been able to apply what I’ve studied and learn new things from other designers. I am hardworking, honest, proactive and creative.
This week I took on the challenge to create a unique resume. I decided to to make a four-fold brochure to showcase my resume and portfolio.
I started with a draft to figure out the layout of the brochure and the placing of each element for it to fold properly.
After figuring out my basic layout I started with the design. Earlier this semester I worked on my personal branding, so I decided to use the logo and color scheme from that project. I created my brochure using Adobe Illustrator. After finishing the design, I selected some of my best work from this semester and printed them imitating polaroid images. I printed out and put together 4 pockets for my different categories to hold my images.
I truly enjoyed this project and the opportunity to create something completely unique to showcase my experience as well as my abilities. This is the finished resume.
